We source local growers, farmers and butchers
to provide fresh food to families in Bakersfield every month.

Every fourth Saturday of the month, volunteers come together, individuals and families,  to pack and fill boxes with fresh fruits and veggies and locally sourced meats.

After the boxes are packed, we gather to pray for the families we serve and then have teams of people deliver the fresh food to local churches,
non-profits and families at their homes.
Relationships are built and the message of Hope is shared.

Meet Jennifer and Kirk. Little did they know their lives would be forever changed when they decided to volunteer to help pack and deliver food boxes with Morning Star Fresh Food Ministry every month. 

Meet Erica. After overcoming many life challenges, she found herself at Morning Star Fresh Food Ministry on a Saturday morning to say thank you to the team that delivered food to her family when we was not able to provide for them. She ended up getting to know a few people and God opened some pretty incredible doors for her in the community. She is an incredible woman!
